All children aged between 3 – 5 years follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum which is divided into six areas of learning.

These six areas of learning are:-

• Personal and Social Education
• Communication, Language and Literacy
• Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
• Knowledge and Understanding of the World
• Creative Development
• Physical Development

Staff plan a mixture of child initiated and adult directed activities which are differentiated to meet the interests and needs of individuals. In Bilton CPS Foundation Stage we firmly believe that children learn best by doing and we plan our all activities and experiences around practical, high quality play.

The Foundation Stage have a very busy term ahead this Spring. The theme is Winter/Spring and Birds. All the Foundation Stage children will be looking at seasonal changes in the weather and we will be all going on a visit towards the end of term when the weather warms up! Regular newsletters will keep you posted on all events and as always we welcome parental liaison and feedback and all strive to work together for the good of your child.
